When in a convention or your nearest cosplay gathering you want to show your fellow cosplayers some courtesy and manners even if they're merely beginners or advanced in their craft.

1) Politely ask for permission before taking a photo.

2) Don't block hallways or walkways for impromptu shoots. Always move off to the side.

3) If a cosplayer is eating, on the phone, watching an anime/playing a game on their laptop/tablet/Nintedo DS, or otherwise preoccupied, please don't bother them.

4) Don't hijack another photographer's shoot. Please wait your turn.

5) Cosplayers are people too. Don't be offended if they don't want to take a photo. They may not be feeling well, may be in a hurry, or have some type of emergency to attend to.

6) Respect personal space. Others may not be comfortable with you touching them , or parts of they're cosplay.

7) Don't "glomp", hug, or tackle others without their permission. Doing so could damage their cosplay or seriously injure the cosplayer and yourself. Unwarranted physical contact is NEVER acceptable.

8) Harassment will NOT be tolerated. Rude or lewd comments are NEVER acceptable.

9) If you want to take a photo of a cosplayer in a different area or setting, please ask politely first. If they decline, respect their wishes.

10) Don't criticize, sham, or bash, the quality and appearance of someone's cosplay. Most beginner cosplayers aren't as well equipped or skilled as advanced cosplayers or don't have the budget to pay for such an elaborate cosplay. Be affirmative and respectful.

11) No means no. Always respect the other person's wishes.
